Sometimes I like to do things a little differently, a little funky, more interesting, out of the box. You know what I mean! This 16x20 palette knife painting started off in the best way. 

I applied a layer of sewing pattern down first. That lovely papery soft material that I absolutely love, still do as I love to sew! This allowed me to be even freer with my palette knife, skimming over all the folds and crannies. 

This painting is a must see in person to appreciate all the texture. Why not come check it out this Saturday at the Virtu art festival in Wilcox Park in Westerly, RI. I'll be there 10am - 5pm May 23rd!
